Project Description

As the longest and largest project that I had been involved in from kick-off to launch, the EA.com website will always have a special place in my heart. At the beginning of the project, I was brought on with one other UX designer to break down and rebuild the existing architecture of EA’s online presence. Once we had a solid structure for the site defined through wireframes, I began defining the CSS and Javascript frameworks that our front-end development team would be utilizing.

Once a design direction was finalized, I led a team of four developers to in building all interactive components on the site, as well as the overall page templates which were integrated into EA’s development environment using the Symfony PHP framework. In addition to the development of the page templates, I worked closely with EA’s third-party vendors, Ooyala and Digital River, both to establish EA’s online video presence and create a seamless online purchasing experience for EA.com customers.

Since its official launch in March of 2009, Fi has continued to provide enhancements to the site, as well as bring in several more projects from other groups within EA, including the EA Sports.
